The HADA Seminar was held in Milwaukee on June 18. Attendees represented 24 states and the District of Columbia. The 2009 HADA Seminar is scheduled for March 23, 2009 at Treasure Island in Las Vegas.

In the world of Internet searches, familiarity breeds contentment. On the Housing Authority Insurance Group Web site, we’ve added a familiar tool to help members and the general public find what they need.

The search capability of the site has been dramatically improved using Google Search. Google Search produces better, faster, more relevant results for searches done on the site and presents a familiar interface for Internet users. Also, it allows us to report on common search terms – particularly search terms that do not produce satisfactory results – allowing us to add content to the Web site that is desired but not found.

“We’ve been working on it for a while,” HAI Group network administrator Jill McNamee said. “We had been using a custom search engine but it did not return the results we were looking for. We ran into problems getting it to work, did some research, and found out that Google does have an appliance that does the searches for you.”
