HTVN Offers Tax Credit Series through June
If you’re looking for information on tax credits or want to understand what is involved, then the Housing TeleVideo Network (HTVN) has what you need. HTVN is offering two series on tax credits and nonprofits through June 2008. The first series, Tax Credit Basics, offers four programs that cover topics such as types of funding, requirements for filing, proper protocol when working with city government, planning, how to file for nonprofit status, and completing the application. The second series, Tax Credit Development, includes six programs that cover content on how tax credits work, forming partnerships and legal entities, completing the bidding process, estimating cash flow, and funding sources.
A five-part series on Energy Performance Contracting, developed by Honeywell International’s Public Housing Authority Team, is available through April. It explains the definition of an EPC, explores renewable energy sources, discusses accounting issues, suggests resident training topics, and explores ways to guarantee savings. The Commissioner Development Certification and the Property Manager Basics seminar are both available through 2008.
